El proyecto: La Historia de Alameda
Compartiendo nuestras historias después de los incendios
De La Raiz y The Hearth están recopilando historias escritas de miembros de la comunidad local, a raíz de los incendios de Alameda. Cuando compartimos nuestras historias cultivamos la conexión, la comprensión y la sanación. Su historia puede ser sobre un momento en particular, una persona, un acto de bondad o valentía. Puede ser sobre el dolor o el miedo que ha estado sintiendo o sobre un sentido de fuerza, unión y resiliencia. Puede incluir su nombre o escribir su historia de forma anónima. Todas las historias son bienvenidas. Las historias recopiladas se incluirán en una exposición local para que todos podamos entender mejor lo que nosotros como comunidad hemos pasado y lo que necesitamos para la curación. Eventualmente todas las historias serán archivadas con la Sociedad Histórica del Sur de Oregón.
Todos han vivido esta tragedia de manera única. Al escribir sobre su experiencia, tómese un momento para reflexionar: ¿Qué es una historia o experiencia que quiero compartir en relación con los recientes incendios? Puede que quiera compartir sobre las acciones que tomó cuando se enteró por primera vez de los incendios. Un momento en que se sintió profundamente conectado con los demás. Puede que quiera escribir sobre un objeto importante, valioso o sentimental que perdió. Cuente sobre un acto de generosidad o bondad que recibió. ¿Hay un momento que le ayudó a sanar del que quiera escribir? ¿Una historia de coraje, valentía o fuerza personal que usted presenció? Tal vez usted tiene una historia sobre sus esperanzas o temores a raíz de los incendios. Lo que sea que usted elija escribir por favor sepa que todas las historias son bienvenidas.
Compartir su experiencia nos ayudará a todos a sentirnos más conectados. No hay necesidad de tener todos sus pensamientos organizados, simplemente comience a escribir lo que usted sienta en este momento. Gracias por su tiempo, su honestidad y su fuerza de corazón. Estamos juntos en esto.

Sharing Our Stories After the Fires
De La Raiz and The Hearth are collecting written stories from local community members, in the wake of the Almeda fires. When we share our stories, we cultivate connection, understanding, and healing. Your story may be about a particular moment, a person, an act of kindness or bravery. It may be about the pain or fear you have been experiencing or about a sense of strength, togetherness, and resiliency. You can include your name or write your story anonymously. All stories are welcome. Collected stories will be included in a local traveling exhibit so all of us can better understand what we as a community have gone through and what we need for healing. Eventually all stories will be archived with the Southern Oregon Historical Society.
Everyone has experienced this tragedy in their own unique way. In writing about your experience, take a moment to reflect: What is a story or experience I want to share connected to the recent fires? You may want to share about the actions you took when you first became aware of the fires. A moment when you felt deeply connected to others. You may want to write about a treasured object that was lost. Tell about an act of generosity or kindness you have experienced in the weeks following the fires. Is there a moment of healing you want to write about? A story of courage, bravery, or personal strength that you witnessed? Maybe you have a story about your hopes or fears in the wake of the fires. Whatever you choose to write please know that all stories are welcome.
Sharing your experience will help all of us feel more connected. There is no need to have all your thoughts organized, just simply begin to share whatever feels right to you at this moment. Thank you for your time, your honesty, and strength of heart. We are in this together.
