Éstos son algunos consejos a considerar al darles esa charla: Si alguien en un vehículo para junto a su hijo, él o ella debe huir en la dirección hacia la parte trasera del vehículo. Esto hará que sea más difícil para el conductor retroceda y/o dé la vuelta rápidamente para perseguirlo. Si esto sucede cuando un niño está montado en una bicicleta, dígale a su hijo que baje de la bicicleta y sostenga la bicicleta entre él y el vehículo. Nunca permita que su hijo use un baño público por sí mismo. Instruya a su hijo para que no permita que algún extraño les tomen fotografías. Los niños pueden gritar muy fuerte y eso es una gran herramienta de emergencia. Si alguna vez alguien intenta secuestrarlos, frases como: “Ayúdame”, “Me está secuestrando”, Ayúdame, él no es mi papá / ella no es mi mamá “, (o otras frases sugeridas por un padre o madre) que pueden ayudar a llamar la mayor atención posible a su niño.

If you have kids, I’m sure you are regularly hammering them about personal safety. Here are a few tips to consider when giving them that pep talk: If someone in a vehicle should stop next to your child, he or she should run away in the direction toward the rear of the vehicle. This will make it more difficult for the driver to back up quickly and/or turn around quickly to give chase. Should this happen when a child is riding a bike, instruct your child to get off the bike and hold the bike between him or her and the vehicle? Never allow your child to use a public restroom by itself. Instruct your child not to allow strangers to photograph them. Children can sure scream and yell very loudly and that’s a great emergency tool. If someone should ever attempt to abduct them, phrases like: “Help Me”, “She/he is kidnapping me”, Help me, he’s not my dad/she’s not my mom”, (or other phrases suggested by a parent) can help to draw as much attention as possible to the child.
