¡Yo amo a los tacos!

Los tacos siempre han sido lo más destacado de la comida mexicana. Pero la torta está muy cerca de esta carrera. No podemos hablar de la torta sin hablar de cómo la torta ha evolucionado del sandwich. En 1762 un inglés con adicción al juego originó el sandiwich, se dice que el  conde que le gustaba comer de esta forma porque así podía jugar a las cartas mientras comía, sin ensuciarse los dedos.

Esta comida era fácil de hacer por que no requería de ningún utensilio. Pero cuando este platillo llegó a Puebla y la Ciudad de México, ¡pues México le dió más vida y sabor!

La torta se ha hecho unos de los platillos mas básicos,  pero también muy creativo. Carne, queso y verduras, pero ahí solo puede ser el comienzo. Amor prohibido, la reina, el príncipe, Pancho Villa y la torta ahogada son unos de los tipos de tortas que van a despertar tus papilas gustativas. Los sabores distintivos que trae la comida mexicana es una experiencia como ninguna otra. ¿Pero dónde está la torta más rica que te deja deseando más campo para comerte otra?

¡Necesitamos tu ayuda! En agosto, Caminos comenzará la búsqueda de la mejor torta en el sur de Oregon. Prepá- rense para votar por la mejor torta del valle. Con tantas opciones en este valle, podemos juntos coronar a la mejor torta (con respeto a todos los restaurantes y cocineros que trabajan muy duro para traernos la comida mejor). I love tacos! Tacos have always stood out among all the mexican food offerings. The torta is a dish that is not that far behind in this race. We cannot talk about the torta without talking about how the torta evolved from the sandwich. In 1762, an Englishman with a gambling addiction was said to have invented the sandwich. The “Earl of Sandwich” preferred to eat quickly so that he could focus more time on his gambling without wasting too much time on a formal meal.
The sandwich was easy to make because it did not require any utensils. Then when this dish made its way to Puebla and Mexico City, Mexican cooks added their own unique flavors and gave it a new life!
The torta has become a Mexican dish that can range from very basic to very creative. Bread, meat, cheese, and vegetables is really all one needs, but this is only the beginning. With clever and historical names like Forbidden Love, The Queen, The Prince, Pancho Villa, or even Guadalajara’s very own Torta Ahogada, many of these varieties will awaken your taste buds. The distinctive flavors that Mexican food brings is an experience like no other. This leads us to the question: where is the best torta in town that will leave you wishing you had more room to eat another one?
