365 Project – Day 65

I remember the first time that I met my fiancé. We were in high school. I hardly knew her and we were in band together, at a game. I was one of the last off the field. I noticed she left her red scarf there and I knew it was hers. I thought, here’s my opportunity to finally talk to Jocelyn. So I’m really nervous. I grabbed the scarf and went up to her and said, “Hey, my name’s Alex. You left this on the field. I’m pretty sure it’s yours, right?” She said, “Oh yeah, thank you so much”. From then on we started talking, became friends, and started dating. Now, we’re almost married. That was the first time I ever actually talked to her. That was really awesome. –Alex Guzman

Recuerdo cuando conocí a mi prometida. Estábamos en la preparatoria. Yo apenas la conocía y en un juego estábamos los dos en la banda. Fui de los últimos que dejaron en el campo. Me di cuenta que ella había dejado olvidada su bufanda roja. En ese momento pensé, “aquí está mi oportunidad para finalmente poder hablar con Jocelyn.” Y aunque la idea de ir a buscarla me ponía muy nervioso, tomé la bufanda y fui a donde ella estaba, le dije, “Hola mi nombre es Alex, dejaste esto en el campo, estoy seguro que es tuya ¿no?” Ella me respondió, “Oh sí. Muchas gracias.” Desde ese momento empezamos a vernos, nos hicimos amigos y luego novios. Ahora pronto nos casaremos. El día que ella olvidó su bufanda roja fue la primera vez que hablé con ella y lo recuerdo como un día maravilloso. –Alex Guzman
